The Scattered Church

In our culture we assume that Bad Events lead to Bad Results. Yet, the early church experiences blessing through the "bad" events that happen to them. The persecution that descends upon the early church leads it to scatter which results in the spread of the gospel message. What bad experiences are we in the midst of that God might redeem for the development of our character and for the Church?
