The True Vine

Jesus' first miracle confirms his last "I Am" statement. In John 15, Jesus says "I Am the true vine" using the metaphor of a grape vine, Jesus points to himself as the source of life and fruit for us the branches. Jesus' first miracle was turning water into wine. Both the sign and the statement are about fruitfulness in Jesus. The truth is that the Christian life is always about blessing and fruitfulness. The fruit of our lives should be blessing to the world. From these passages there are 4 truths for life in and with Jesus that are important for us to understand about living a life with God.
