How Can This Be?

The Christmas story is the story of ordinary people being overshadowed by an extraordinary God. The Holy Spirit "overshadows" Mary so that the child she brings forth in an embodiment of creative holiness, the word made flesh. In the Christmas story we discover The Holy Spirit makes the impossible possible; He exalts the humble and lowly; and works in the person surrendered to God's will.
